As much as I’ve found tumblr handy I’ve gotten to a point where I want full control over the content I create and don’t want to give an all access pass to my intellectual property, as valuable (or valueless) it might be. So follow me back over to http://jfine.org/ where we’ll party like it’s 1999, or at the very least 1998.
I’ll have to play with it but at $500 don’t count me in, with the vendor lockin and nickel and dimeing I’d consider it at $300 maaaaaaaybe $400. What this hopefully will do is force netbook creators to up their game and undercut.
Only time will tell but my initial feeling is that this will be a poor eBook reader, as good as any laptop, but certainly not as comfortable as eInk. Sort of pointless as a music player. Could be interesting as a video player. As a gaming machine, one word, “hah”. Finally, pretty much worthless as a “getting actual work done” machine.
Old news but new to me. Very handy.
